The UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Ma'touq Assas called on the department directors, who were appointed recently to work hard and dedicate their efforts to enhance the administrative environment, which is to help the educational and research environments. Assas noted that the new directors are those cadres that received high training in different aspects of the work required on daily basis.
The meeting, which took place at the UQU president office at the university city in Abbideyah Campus, was attended by the Vice-president, Dr. Yasser bin Soliman Shoushou, the Vice-president for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, the Vice-president for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, the Vice-president for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Srouji, and the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Majed Al-Qathami.
Assas began the meeting with a speech in which he congratulated the Vice-president for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi on his designation, wishing him good luck and success in his mission of academic programs and entrepreneurship management. He indicated that UQU has registered over 1000 patent applications to the Intellectual Property Management Office, which are to be studied and materialized by Wadi Makkah Company.
Additionally, Assas reiterated that department directors selection at UQU follows certain standards and rules besides requirements of staff high capacity and work ethics. He wished success to everyone and called upon them to be up to the responsibility assigned to them with regard to improving staff performance and skills.
On his part, the Vice-president, Dr. Yasser bin Soliman Shoushou delivered a speech in which he thanked the UQU President for holding such meetings that encourage everyone to enhance performance and develop work processes. Shoushou noted that the UQU vice-presidency constantlly works to develop performance in accordance with the development directives of the UQU president.
It's worth mentioning that the UQU President has issued an administrative decision on administrative structure with regard to a number of department directors (13 departments of the most important actors in serving the educational and research system).
