The Faculty Members Development Unit started off its regular lectures on Thursday, 21/9/2017 with a summary of the PhD dissertation on clinical pharmacy (University of Massachusetts) by Dr. Amal bint Farag Al-Otiabi, a faculty member of Clinical Pharmacy Department.
The dissertation was titled "Preventive Antibiotics Use before Neurosurgery and their Effects in Preventing Post-surgery Infection"
Al-Otiabi gave an introduction on the different types of antibiotics and their modern uses in clinical studies to reduce bacterial inflammation in nervous system, which causes many diseases.
At the end of lecture, Al-Otaibi answered the attendance questions on the most notable types of modern antibiotics used in clinical studies..
