The UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Ma'touq Assas, made an inspection tour to the Deanship of Admission and Registration on Thursday, 23/12/1438 H to check on its services at King Abdulaziz Hall in Al-Abbideyah Campus. Assas was accompanied by the Vice-president for Academic Development and Community Service, Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Hashim bin Ahmed Al-Samdani, and the Vice-deans of Admission and Registration, Dr. Khalid Al-Thaqafi and Dr. Hussam Al-Hakami.
He listened to a detailed explanation by the Dean of Admission and Registration covering the services and mechanisms and the cooperation with the Deanship of Information Technology to facilitate the suitable educational environment for students.
During the tour, the UQU President met with a number of students' parents and listened to their feedback, then directed the admission and registration staff to offer all the required solutions to students.
Later, Assas visited the venue of the Third Freshmen Forum 1438 H, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the theme, "Story of Success" during 27 - 29 Dhul Hijja 1438 H at King Saud Hall in Al-Abbideya.
He listened to a detailed account of preparations for the forum by the vice-deans, Dr. Omar Sonbul, Dr. Abdullah Al-Zubiani, and Dr. Hamdan Al-Harbi. They addressed internal organization, distribution of participating corners (vice-deanships, colleges and administrations), university cards delivery, and the visual shows.
At the end of the tour, Assas called on the staff of the Deanship of Student Affairs to exert more effort and utilize all capabilities for the success of the forum and its objectives. He reiterated the importance of removing obstacles and providing students with their every need for the new academic year, wishing them good luck and success.
