Under the sponsorship of the UQU President who serves also as the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project, the Technical Committee for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosque will held a meeting on Thursday Dhul-Qe'dah 25, 1438 H with the representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the Higher Hajj Committee and a number of relevant authorities to discuss issues related to the project of increasing accommodation capacity of the Mattaf. The meeting will take place at King Faisal Hall at the University campus in Abdyia.
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas lauded that the keenness attached to the committee by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and heir apparent Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud. He also lauded the directives and attention of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the follow-up and supervision of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Ieesa. Dr. Assas underscored that the meeting comes to benefit from the field expertise of the security and operational bodies and to harmonize the operational plans to achieve the maximum benefit from the project in this year's Hajj season and facilitate ritual performance for the pilgrims.
He went on to add that the contribution of the committee to the development of designs works, supervision of concert works and adherence to safety and professional health standards in the projects of the Grand Mosques comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the maximum safety means for the pilgrims revealing that the committee has recruited several national qualified competencies in the fields related to the committees technical, engineering and administrative works amounting to more than 200 employees.
For his part, the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Development Projects of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Faisal Wafa said the meeting will witness participation of the Public Security Makkah Emirate, Civil Defense besides the Higher Hajj Committee, Ministry of Finance, and the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosques and the Prophet's Mosques to provide the needed information for the executive participants which will help them in their works to facilitate hajj performance for pilgrims underlining that the Grand Mosque will witness this year taking advantage of Mattaf's full accommodation capacity.
