President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) and Chairman of Wadi Makkah Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Bin Bakri Assas, paid on Wednesday Shawal 25, 1438 H, an inspection visit to the second summer training program organized by the company for UQU students and checked on the three tracks attended by the students, in the presence of Wadi Makkah CEO Dr. Faisal Al-Alaf.
During the inspection visit, Dr. Assas met with a number of students and reviewed the experiences they have gained while participating in the different tracks of the summer program at Wadi Makkah. He reiterated the importance of training university students at Wadi Makkah Startup Center. "The training courses help students to convert their innovations into products in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030", he said adding that students receive training on transformation to the knowledge-based economy through innovation and entrepreneurship, urging them to benefit from the expertise available in Wadi Makkah, and to sharpen their skills in a manner which benefits them to establish startups in the future.
It is noteworthy that the program selected 60 students according to the trainers' schedule. The training plan includes creation of modeling system, website and application designing, marketing, business development and programming, and allows students from all other universities to participate in its courses.
