UQU President Checks on Hajj Research Institute's Participation in Pilgrims Service Program

On Saturday, Shawwal 13, 1438H, the UQU President, Dr. Bakri M. Assas, checked on the contributions and initiatives put forth by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, representing the Ministry of Education (MOE) in the Pilgrims Service Program, as part of the Saudi Vision 2030. Dr. Assas held a meeting for this purpose at the the Meeting Room of the Institute in Al-Aziziya. It was attended by the Dr. Sami Y. Burhamein, dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, Dr. Ali al-Shaeri, dean of the UQU Consulting Research and Studies Institute, Dr. Abdurrahman al-Ahdal, Dean of Scientific Research, and staff of the Institute.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Burhamein, dean of the Hajj and Umrah Research Institute, welcomed Dr. Assas, UQU President, and thanked him for his unstinting support for activities and participations of the Institute. He pointed out that selecting the Institute to represent MOE in the Pilgrims Service Program 2030 was the natural outcome of the unceasing support for the Institute by the UQU President and Vice Presidents.

As a result, the Institute was selected to act as one of the committees of the Program. He added that a meeting was held with the bodies involved in execution of the program, and that the work methods and approaches were discussed. It was such an honor to the Institute to represent MOE and UQU in this Program, he affirmed.

It followed that Dr. Abdullah al-Sebaee presented an overview of the Program, and its objectives, strategies, participants, its start and end dates, as well as the Institute's initiatives.

For his part, the UQU President, Dr. Bakri Assas, stated that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research has gained the trust of the Wise Leadership of this blessed country. As a result, thanks to Allah, the Institute has become over the years an impressive reference and  assay house so far as Hajj and Umrah research is concerned. Dr. Assas praised the Institute's highly qualified researchers and staff who show praiseworthy distinction in all matters relating to Hajj and Umrah.

Meanwhile, he lauded the gracious support the University receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premiere and Minister of Defense, as well as HRH Prince Khaled al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah.

It did not escape Dr. Assas's notice to highlight the attentive follow-up shown by Dr. Ahmed M. al-Eissa, Minister of Education, with a view to make UQU a world-class university.

He extended thanks to Eng. Adel Faqih, Minister of Economy and Planning, for selecting the Institute to be among the Program committees.

Concluding his statement, Dr. Assas wished the best of luck for all staff of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research.
