The Blessed Month of Ramadan

The nights of this holy month are scented with true feelings that are full with blessing and spirituality ... At these nights, the believers' hearts are elevated and the virtuous souls traverse through the blisses of obedience. The fasting people attached to the mercy and grace of Allah showered on them graciously throughout this month. Every year, we happily receive this month, in which the Holy  Qur'an was revealed, the gates of paradise are widely opened, the gates of fire are closed and devils are chained.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “When the first night of Ramadan comes, the gates of paradise are opened, and none of its gates are closed, while the gates of fire are closed and none of its gates are opened, devils are chained, and a caller would cry out: ‘O seeker of good, proceed, O seeker of evil, stop.’ And Allah has necks (people) whom He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every night.” Narrated by the at-Tirmidhi.

In this month, there is the Night of Al-Qadr which is better than one thousand months.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Ramadan:

He (PBUH) used to initiate his intention to fast early at night before dawn, and commanded Muslims to follow suit.
He also would break his fast as soon as the sun sets, and delay having Suhur meal late before dawn, and insturcted Muslims to do the same. The Messenger of Allah said, "People will continue to adhere to good as long as they hasten to break the Saum (fasting)." - narrated by Al-Bukhari.

Out of his mercy, he (OBUH) granted concession to the traveler, sick, aged people, pregnant and breastfeeding women to breakfast. The traveler shall compensate the day while the aged people, pregnant and breastfeeding women shall feed a poor person for each day.

He also used to worship during Ramadan harder than in any other month; especially in the last ten nights of Ramadan seeking the Naight of Al-Qadr.

He also used to observe I'tikaf (seclusion in mosque) during the last ten days of Ramadan; but in the year in which he passed away, he observed I'tikaf for twenty days.

During this period, the generosity of the Messenger of Allah waxed faster than the rain bearing wind: "The Messenger of Allah was the most generous of the men; and he was the most generous during the month of Ramadan when Jibril visited him every night and recited the Qur'an to him. During this period, the generosity of Messenger of Allah waxed faster than the rain bearing wind." - reported by Al-Bukhari.

Every Muslim has his own way in preparation to the holy month of Ramadan. Some people purify their hearts, reform their intentions and gear up for devotion and worship. On the other hand, some people get ready by preparing lots of foods, meals and games.

Dear all,

Ramadan is a chance that may never returns, be ready to seize it.
