The Supreme Committee for E-Transactions at Umm Al-Qura University chaired by the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas convened on Thursday Sha'ban 22, 1438 H at his office at Abdyia campus.
At the commencement of the meeting, UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service who serves also as the Deputy Head of the Committee, Dr. Hani bin Osman ghazi welcomed UQU President and members of the committee, underscoring that under the support and attention of the UQU President and the involvement of all its members, the committee will, Allah willing- will function according to the plans set to implement the project of e-transaction program praying Allah to bestow success upon them.
During the meeting, Dr. Assas and the members of the committee listened to a presentation by Dean of Information Technology Dr. Majid Al-Qathami who introduced e-transaction program YESSER and the programs carried out by the university according to the set plan besides steps taken in this regard in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the impact of such a thing in the speed delivery of services to the university affiliates according to the available infrastructure and programs set to achieve the sough-after objectives in this regard. He explained that the university has started implement measurement programs aimed at providing the best services for the university affiliates.
For his part, the Vice Dean of IT for e-Transactions, Dr. Atef Al-Hejaili presented a detailed evaluation of the YESSER Program for the level of the transformation currently taking place at the university. He explained some tips which will contribute to e-services improvement and integration underlining the importance of starting implementation of the institutional structure which plays an effective role in evaluating the coming year.
After thatو the meeting discussed the integration process between the Deanship of Information Technology and university departments in anything related to technical matters in the bid to complete digital transformation besides the committee's supervisory role in accelerating the transformation of the institutional infrastructure to e-transactions, in addition to supporting deanship of IT to achieve complete stability in the field of security of digital information.
It should be mentioned here that the committee is headed by UQU President and the UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service is the Deputy head of the Committee. Its membership includes all UQU Vice Presidents, besides deans of ( IT, Admission and Registration, Graduate Studies, Students Affairs, Scientific Research, Library Affairs) in addition to Vice Deans of IT, the Director of Faculty Members and Staff Affairs Department and the Director of Administrative Development.
