Emir of Madinah Receives Assessment Study on Numbers of Pilgrims and Umrah Doers Until 1455 H

 Emir of Madinah  HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman received from the UQU President and Chairman of Supervisory Committee of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Expansion Projects Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas a scientific study on Estimation of the Numbers of Pilgrims and Umrah Doers until 1455 H, prepared by the Technical Committee of Grand Mosques Projects in collaboration with a number of specialists at King Abdul-Aziz university, Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for hajj and Umrah Research and the General Secretariat of Hajj Higher Committee. He received also  The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosques, Dr. Faisal Wafaa, Dean of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami Barhamain and the members of the committee at the Makkah Development Commission Headquarters.  He received also the book of "Lightening in the Two Holy Mosques" the 21st  issue of King Salman Chair for Studies of Makkah History by the researcher Dr. Salih bin Mohamed Al-Rabei in addition to the scientific record and scientific journal of the 17th Hajj research forum. The meeting that took place at his office in Madinah Emirate,  was attended by HRH Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal the Deputy Emir of Madinah 


Meanwhile, Dr. Assas valued the attention paid by the wise leadership to projects of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites for the convenience of the pilgrims and visitors of prophet mosques. He also valued the lasting sponsorship of the university activities by the Advisor to Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRS Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. He added that the scientific study carried out by the mentioned above parties projected all variables required by the pilgrims and Umrah doers until 1455 H.   


For his part, the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosques, Dr. Faisal Wafaa, said that study covered estimations of the numbers of pilgrims and Umrah doers from in and outside the Kingdom besides the most important features of the exterior pilgrims and Umrah doers . " Upon removal of all restrictions, study reveals that numbers of pilgrims and Umrah doers from outside the kingdom will exceed 4 million in 2020 and  will exceed five million seven hundred in 2030 to reach nine million two hundred in 2050", he added saying that study predicts that numbers of Umrah doers from outside the kingdom to reach 13 million in 1455 H and might increase to 14 million eight hindered thousands.  


In similar context, Supervisor General of  King Salman Chair for Studies of Makkah History Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif  said the book is the 21st  issue of the Chair's scientific researches  by the author of the book Dr. Salih bin Mohamed Al-Rabei, pointing out that the book is focused on lightening in the Two Holy Mosques, its tools and locations since ancient times till reaching its peak in the Saudi State who embarked on developing lightening to serve the Two Holy Mosques and those heading  to them  within its services system dedicated for the Two Holy Mosques, pilgrims and Umrah Doers. He indicated that the book is a fruit of joint cooperation between Umm Al-Qura University and King Abdul-Aziz University.


Further, Dean of the Custodian of two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Dr. Sami Barhamain revealed that the scientific record and scientific journal of the 17th Hajj research forum includes 112 scientific papers which were discussed and presented during the forum's activities.
