The College of Social Sciences organized on Wednesday 20th of Rajab 1437H the first scientific research day in the presence of the college dean, college vice deans, faculty members and a large number of the most distinctive students  in the field of publishing scientific researches.  
 
 Addressing the ceremony, the dean of the college, Dr. Mohamed Basagr, applauded the efforts of the faculty members in the college and congratulated those who have published distinctive scientific researches. He highlighted the substantial efforts exerted by the college and its distinguishing performance especially in the field of scientific research. He commended these efforts and urged upgrading such performance to highest levels befitting the status of the college. He added that the university will not hesitate in providing necessary support for the advancement of scientific research in all fields. 
 
He went on to say: as part of the college interest in encouraging and motivating scientific research, it's working currently on setting a comprehensive perception about how to motivate faculty members on scientific research. He added that a plan is being prepared to organize training courses for them, aiming at sharpening and developing their research skills in designing research projects, processing of research  statistical data, writing and publishing of the researches at the international level, besides increasing of  incentive rewards and bonuses for the most distinctive faculty members.    
 
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Basagr honored faculty members who published distinctive researches in the last two years, and the students who scored the first places in the university competitions in this field. He handed them over their respective certificates of appreciation.
