The College of Nursing organized a visit for a delegation of its female employees to the National Museum at the university headquarters at Al-Aziziyah. The program included a visit to the departments of the museum, which includes a group of archaeological holdings that conveyed the charm of a great history to everyone.
They started the visit by viewing the main headquarters “Mirkaz Al-Omdah” and what it included of clothes and antiquities and then the “Old Market” where they saw old crafts. Next, they visited the “Old House” that showed them the simplicity of the life of the past. The museum included photos of the different kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an exhibition of currencies found in the Arabian peninsula, exhibition of books, exhibition of old nomadic articles, and an exhibition of arts and designs.
Finally, the tour ended by visiting the “Hajj and `Umrah” exhibition, which showed us the difficulty of Hajj in the past and the effort and hardship the pilgrims and visitors had to undergo but from which they no longer suffer in the present time.
The delegation offered thanks to the General Supervisor of the Museums, His Excellency Dr. Fahd Al-Maliki, for the good reception, hospitality, and the effort they have exerted.
