The College of Public Health and Health Informatics, as represented by the Health Information Management and Technology (Girls Section), launched a health awareness campaign at the College of Medicine on Tuesday, Shaaban 6, 1438H, corresponding to May 2, 2017, under the title: "Health Determinants". The campaign, in which students of the department participated, was held under the supervision of Dr. Amal O. Basheer.
The campaign aimed at educating the University community about the mental, physical social and psychological health, to maintain complete health soundness, and raise attendees' awareness of the common infectious and non-infectious diseases. In addition, common misconceptions about such diseases as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, etc., were tackled. Noteworthy, a large number of the students and faculty members or various UQU colleges participated in the campaign.
