On Sunday, Rajab 26, 1438H, in the Presence of Dr. Samir H. Qari, head of the department, as well as its faculty members, Prof. Samir H. Qari presented a seminar.
The seminar provided an elaborate account of the various aging theories, including: DNA damage theory, non-decomposition of proteins, deficiency of endocrine secretions, subversion of cellular membrane, subversion of energy-generating organs, deficiency of the immunological system, and the free radicals theory.
The workshop touched on the internal and external symptoms of aging, and the risk factors that increases the probability of the onset of free radicals, leading to early aging.
As the workshop drew to a close, Prof. Atteyya shed light on the natural antioxidants, and their role in prevention of early aging.
