The Computer Science Department was established in 1435/1436 as one of the biggest and most important departments at the University College in Adham.

Mission:

The department attracts students and presents high-level academic programs that are similar to that are presented by internationally renowned universities. These programs are modern and keep pace with cutting edge technologies. The department provides student services and computer labs.   It opens the doors for the students to the labor market having enough skills and qualifications needed to meet the local and international markets.

Also, it plays a role in pushing the educational process up to new levels of quality to graduate highly qualified female students who can think scientifically and have good command of computer and IT skills that cope with the cutting edge technology and meets the market needs.

Objectives:

• Improving students' knowledge in the field of computer science and information technology.
• Training students on different computer platforms in various fields that serve the community and its development.
• Meeting the community's needs of persons who are highly qualified on using the computer applications in different fields of life.
• Providing technical advices in the field of Computer and Information technology to the government and private sectors.
• Holding computer science training courses for the public.
• Empowering students to keep up with the rapid pace of the IT development.
• Qualifying students to continue their computer science postgraduate studies.
• Graduation of bachelor degree holders with enough qualifications to compete in the Saudi, Gulf and Arab markets.
