Registration Procedures

Students are automatically registered through the university's automated registration system, according to the department's study plan template. The system allows the student to make adjustments to the academic schedule in a way that does not conflict with the controls for modifying schedules through the student's page or through the service for department-approval applications.

The student contacts the academic advisor to determine the best registration options that will be of benefit to the student during the university study period.

**The students can book an appointment for academic advising and meet with the academic advisor remotely without the need to come personally to the department. This is in order to contribute to limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

Registration Controls

First: Controls for addition requests

• The student’s academic load shall not exceed the legally prescribed load, according to the cumulative average.
• The previous prerequisite has to be fulfilled.
• Vacancies have to be available in the division.

Second: Controls for deletion requests

• Deletion shall not affect the student's academic career.
• The student's study load should not be less than 12 credit hours, after deletion.
• Students who should adhere to the plan are not allowed to delete courses.
• It is not allowed to delete courses in the student's level or below.

Third: Controls of requests to amend a division

• Vacant seats are available in the division to which the student is transferred.

The Service of Communicating Remotely with the Academic Advisor

You can book an appointment with your academic advisor (remotely). The meeting will be held remotely using the WebEx program.
