Abstract
The focus of this study is pause by transfer amongst Sibawayh and Modernists linguists. Its goal is to illustrate the different sorts of pauses at the end of words, as well as the rules of pauses by transfer as described by Sibawayh and the ancients. It also seeks to define the term "pause" in many fields. In addition, this study seeks to clarify the actuality of pauses via transfer, whether theyr are grammatical or phonological in nature, as well as the reality of the transferred vowel. The study used a descriptive-analytical approach, monitoring and assessing various scholars' viewpoints. The study revealed that the phenomenon of pauses by transfer is a phonological phenomenon unrelated to grammatical structure, the transferred vowel is not a vowel of inflectional but rather a vowel created for a phonological reason, and the pauses caused by transferring the movement to a vowel are not unique to the Lakhm tribe but are attributed to the Tayyi' tribe. The study concluded with a recommendation to investigate the effect of sound nature on morphological concerns, as well as the relationship between pause by transfer and stress in Arabic.
