Abstract
This research traces the various ways in which Arab poets employed Mount Radwa in their poems, aiming to identify its meanings and usages, and to extract the contexts poets used to express these meanings. The research highlights the extent of this mountain's presence in the corpus of Arabic poetry and the diverse nature of its utilization, which includes direct description, location identification, and the symbolic meanings poets attributed to it. Additionally, it examines the cultural significance of the mountain in Arab consciousness, as reflected in poetry throughout history, from the pre-Islamic era to modern times. The research did not limit its exploration of Mount Radwa in Arabic poetry to a specific time period but instead traced the presence of this mountain across all literary eras, up to the modern era. Additionally, the research was not confined to studying the poetic patterns and contexts in which this mountain was utilized by poets from the Arabian Peninsula or neighboring regions. The study also included the works of poets from distant environments, such as Andalusian poets and others who did not live near Mount Radwa, highlighting that it is part of general poetic meanings and traditions. The research focused on three axes: the description of Mount Radwa, Mount Radwa and positive meanings, and Mount Radwa and negative meanings.
