Abstract
This study aims at rendering a novel justification of the similarity between the present verb and noun. It discusses the grammarians’ most prominent opinions on the similarity domains and rationale. The researcher adapted a new account for the similarity tracing the relation of each to the tense. The researcher found out that the approach between the present verb and noun is worth thoroughly studying. The methodology utilized is descriptive and analytical. The importance of the study comes from the fact that it goes beyond superficial account for the similarity between the present and noun. Rather, it accounts for what it possibly can be the essence similarity. In order to achieve this, The researcher studied both kinds of the present verb, the absolute (basic) present verb and the restricted sub-present verb.
