Abstract
This research represents a scientific attempt to explore the philosophical dimensions inherent in jewellery design using gemstones. This is achieved by analysing the relationship between beauty, symbolism, and cultural and intellectual connotations, through a deep dive into the morphological properties of gemstones and the interpretation of the meanings embedded in contemporary jewellery designs. The study applies a descriptive-analytical methodology and a case study approach on a selected sample of contemporary designs adorned with gemstones.

The results proved that gemstones are no longer merely decorative elements; they have become a means of aesthetic and philosophical expression, capable of embodying deep cultural concepts within jewellery design, which gives them artistic and semantic depth.

The researcher recommended encouraging researchers and designers to explore the symbolic and philosophical dimensions of gemstones and to incorporate them as a philosophical vision when designing jewellery. She also recommended the necessity of documenting the cultural heritage associated with gemstones and analysing their aesthetic and intellectual connotations.
