BLS is a double-fold life saving operation in which the rescuer resuscitates the lungs and the heart. The lungs are resuscitated by artificial ventilation, and the heart is revived through chest compression (in the area between the breast bone and the backbone), so that blood is pumped to all the vital parts of the body, especially the brain
BLS is important because it revives both organs, the heart and the lungs, and provides the heart and the brain with the blood and the oxygen they need to increase the wounded person survival chance.
In our modern society, it’s a moral commitment that every adult should give a hand to those who need help. Good knowledge of the first aid procedures is important and much needed for saving lives. Sometimes, a person’s life may rely on the help you can offer, and God rewards this good deed not only in this life, but in the Afterlife as well, as he says in the Holy Quran: “and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind” (5:32)
