Overview of the Administration

In the name of Allah. All praise be to Allah, and may Allah's peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the website of the UQU General Administration of Cybersecurity.

The ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah safeguard them), stipulated the importance of cybersecurity. To that end, the decision of the UQU President to establish the General Administration of Cybersecurity was issued on 17 Jumada Al-Thani 1441 A.H., corresponding to 12 February 2020 A.C. This unit is a separate administration that aims to apply the best international standards and to adhere to the rules imposed by the National Cybersecurity Authority in order to raise the security level at the university.

The strategy of the General Supervisor of the Cyber Security Administration has been set to achieve three main objectives, which are:

    1. Achieving confidentiality of data and information.
    2. Achieving data and information integrity.
    3. Ensuring the availability of data and information.

This can be achieved by providing technical solutions and governing cybersecurity policies.

General Supervisor of the Administration of Cybersecurity

Dr. Marwan bin Ali bin Abdulaziz Al-Bahr
