The Umm Al-Qura University delegation, represented by the Institute for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-Speakers and headed by the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Hasan Bukhari, arrived at the Federal Republic of Nigeria in implementation of the royal approval to establish the Shari`ah and cultural course for Shari`ah court judges, university professors and teachers at the University of Bayero, Kano State, in the period from 16 to 20 Shawwal 1442 A.H.
The fourth training course to be held by the institute comes within the framework of activating joint academic cooperation with different universities in a number of states of the Republic of Nigeria. This is through prior coordination and communication with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Abuja.
During his reception of the delegation, the advisor in charge of embassy work, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi, stressed the university’s academic role in teaching the Arabic language and strengthening the kingdom’s role in serving Islam and supporting Arabic language sciences in the different countries of the world. He also mentioned that he appreciated the university's efforts in implementing the royal approval to run these academic programs.
The university delegation includes Prof. Ahmad Al-Droubi, Prof. Ahmad Al-Ghamdi, Dr. Maimoun Al-Sulami, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Qarni, Mr. Muhammad Bahemadi, and Mr. Khalid Al-Sahli
