The President of Umm Al-Qura Chairs the Fifth Session of the University Council

Yesterday, Tuesday, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, chaired the fifth session of the University Council for the Academic Year 1442 A.H.  The session was attended by the Secretary General of the Council of Universities Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, the Secretary General of the University Council, the vice presidents of the university, and the deans and vice deans of the colleges and supportive deanships.

The President of Umm Al-Qura University opened the session with a welcoming speech to all the attendees and the members who had recently joined the council, and he extended sincere thanks and appreciation to all the members whose term of membership in the council had expired.

The members of the council recommended the approval of the university's balance sheet for the fiscal year 2020 A.C. as well as the report of the external auditor in preparation for submitting it to the Prime Minister, according to the regulation. The council also approved some memoranda of understanding between the university and a number of government and private bodies.

In addition, the council discussed many academic topics related to various aspects of the academic process, for which appropriate decisions and recommendations were made.

On his part, the President of Umm Al-Qura University lauded the support that the wise government (may Allah safeguard it) extends to the academic process and its research and administrative environment. Moreover, he noted the commendable follow-up and interest of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Aal Al-Sheikh, and also the support of His Excellency the Deputy Minister for Research and Innovation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairi, towards the steps taken by the university to promote its educational outcomes.
