The dean of Institute of Researches and Studies Dr. Ali Al-Shaari has reached a number of agreements with the health, scientific and administrative colleges of the university to make use of their scientific competencies in the process of transforming knowledge outside the campus.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Shaari underscored that theses agreements are aimed at meeting the labor market needs in the counselling and vocational training domains. He added that the mechanism of these agreements is the cooperation in the field of training by hiring faculty members, transferring knowledge to the community, investing in economy and knowledge, besides making use of the expertise of the faculty members and consultancies.
He went on to add that, the strategic objectives of the Institute include improving Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) performance level in order to achieve development plans and build the knowledge society, Forging close relations between the university and institutions of the public and private sectors and the community, helping the university to go into more partnerships and launch more activities and services in the fields of research, consultancy, knowledge and vocational training in an endeavor to serve beneficiaries locally and internationally, in a manner which achieves the institute's vision, besides developing and diversifying UQU contractual businesses to help transfer knowledge and whatever relevant to it, and providing a professional work environment for the beneficiaries.
Dr. Al-Shaari commended the lasting attention paid by the president of the university HE Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Al-Assas, the thing which had a positive impact on the diversifying and improving quality of the programs offered by the institute. He also lauded the follow-up of the Vice President of Business & Innovation, Dr. Nabeel Koshak, the thing which has had an impact on creating the counselling environment which keeps pace with the university position. He also lauded the cooperation of the colleges with the institute in transferring knowledge to the external community.
