UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service who serves also as the acting UQU Vice President for Business and Innovation Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi held a preparatory meeting on Monday Rajab 13, 1438 H with the participants and representatives of the university in the International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education (IECHE 2017) to be held under the patronage of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center from Rajab 15 to 18, 1438 under the slogan: " Role of Saudi Universities in Achieving Kingdom Vision 2030".

 
At the commencement of the meeting, Dr. Hani welcomed the attendees noting to the importance of this exhibition which represent an annual gathering fordifferent Saudi universities and international universities. He said participation of the university this year in IECHE will highlight  the role of Wadi Makkah and its startups in the commercial transformation in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program2020 adding that the participation of the university  will also include its supportive deanships, deanship of admission and registration and deanship of graduate studies to highlight all its programs. He lauded keenness of UQU President to highlight participation of the university  in the proper way. 

For his part, CEO of Wadi Makkah Company Dr. Faisal Al-Alaf said the participation of Wadi Makkah Company will include introducing its startups, programs and activities provided for the university male and female students adding that the company inspires to brief  the visitors of its pavilion on the different fields of the startups including; technology, transportation and crowd management. He lauded support of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the UQU Vice President for Business and Innovation and their keenness to see the university participation coming in a proper way. 

After that, the Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Saleh Al-Firaih and the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani addressed the meeting on the participation of the two deanships in the exhibition  including their programs and activities in addition to stages and plans of admission in the graduate studies and the  undergraduate level and the programs set and carried out by the both deanships during this year.
