President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas witnessed in Makkah graduation of 200 security men who joined training programs carried out by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education on intellectual security, communication skills with the public and coping with work pressure, in the presence of Makkah Police Director Brigadier Mohamed Zhafir Al-Omari. Vice Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Salim Al-Otaibi, Commander of Security Patrols in Makkah, Col. Mohamed Saad Al-Sihaimi. The ceremony took place at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall in the UQU Abdyia campus on Tuesday Jumada Al-Thani 29, 1438 H.
Following a brief Quranic recitation at the beginning of the ceremony, the Commander of Security Patrols in Makkah, Col. Mohamed Al-Sihaimi, delivered an address affirming that communication skills with the public and coping with work pressure have become an indispensable necessity to keep pace with the generous, unstinting government support for Makkah: the destination of Muslims all over the world.
Such support, he said, has materialized in a number of giant projects for expansion of the Makkan Sanctuary (the Grand Mosque). He added: Such a comprehensive development based on the development of the place, should go in line with the development of the people inhabiting that place; of whom security man are but an integral part.
He was followed by Vice Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Salim Al-Otaibi who underscored that providing such quality courses for 200 security men by the college is intended to achieve the university mission towards the community, indicating that his college is very keen to conclude community partnerships with different components of the community to transfer latest sciences and skills in the field of social work and training to keep pace with the modern era and meet its practical and knowledge requirements in and endeavor to boost cultural ties with the civil and military sectors of the community.
He added that participants of the course were trained on communication skills with the public, coping with work pressure, and intellectual security hoping such quality programs which were held with the support and directive of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas, to be beneficial for the affiliates of security forces.
For his part, UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas said " it's a pleasure to celebrate conclusion of the successful training program provided by the college of community service and continuing education during the first quarter of the current Hijri year to 200 security men from the affiliates of the security forces lauding the cooperation with the Security Patrols in Makkah.
