University Medical Center participated with the health sectors in Makkah in the event of GCC Nursing Day under the slogan of (GCC Nursing Together, We Care) at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Makkah. The center participation included awareness and guidance pavilion to introduce nursing profession in addition to service provided by the university medical center to all students and affiliates of the university and all those who are eligible to receive treatment at the center.
Director General of the University Medical Center, Dr. Yassir bin Hassan Bahakeem said the event comes as part of the continuous cooperation between the medical center and Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah and included organizing accompanying cultural event at the health sectors exhibition to introduce role and profession of the nursing in the therapeutic and preventive sides.
Further, Dr. Bahakeem expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas, for his great support and attention paid to the University Medical Center. He also thanked UQU Vice-President Dr. Yasser Shoushou for his directives and close follow up to whatever upgrades therapeutic and preventive services provided by the center to all affiliates of the university and their families and all those who are eligible to receive treatment at the center. He also lauded team work of the center who contributed to make the center's participation in the event to come in a proper way equivalent to the position of the University Medical Center amongst the public health institutions in such events.
