The College of Social Sciences will organize on Wednesday 20th of Rajab1437H a scientific research day in the presence of the college dean, Dr. Mohamed Basagr, college vice deans and faculty members at the celebrations hall in the college. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Basagr explained that the event will witness honoring of the faculty members who have published distinctive scientific researches in the last two years, as well as the students who have scored the first place in the scientific research competitions at the level of the university.  

  Within the same vein, he said the scientific research day is a unique opportunity to appreciate researches of the distinctive faculty members in the college. It’s also an opportunity for the students to explore their research ideas and to communicate with their teachers in the different scientific specialties, besides strengthening their scientific research culture. He added that organizing such day is an introductory to knowledge industry,  research activity of the college, research communication amongst its affiliates, in addition to sharpening students and researchers skills, improving scientific research outputs, besides exploiting all available opportunities to move forward in the advancement and progress of the mechanisms and outputs of the scientific research.

He went on to add that, the college of social sciences will be keen to organize such event on annual basis to serve as a regular platform to raise awareness of the college research efforts, and as a mainstay to reflect participation of faculty members in the scientific research, and to gather them under one roof to encourage and motivate them to produce distinctive researches which help them to  promote to the top scientific degrees and to upgrade their university to be equivalent to that of the advanced universities.

Concluding, he extended his thanks to HE the president of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Bakri bin M'atoog Al-Assas and the university vice presidents for their continuous support to all the activities and programs of the college similar to other colleges.
