On behalf of the UQU President, the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi received the Chairman of the Graduates of Saudi Universities Union in Albania Mr. Sadat Osman and his accompanying delegation including; Head of Union's General Council Mr. Ahmed Alami Kalaia, Director of Projects and External Relations Mr. Amarim Koatchi Abu Abdullah, and the member of the Union Mr. Hektor Benaj upon their visit to the university headquarters in Abdyia. Present in the meeting was the Advisor to the UQU President, and Supervisor General of his office, Mr. Essam bin Hassan Margooshi.
At the commencement of the meeting, the UQU Vice President welcomed in his name and on behalf of the UQU President the head and members of the Albanian delegation.
Then he reviewed the scientific, academic, research and community roles undertaken by umm Al-Qura University and the scholarship opportunities it offers to the sons of Islamic nation in all parts of the world in the fields of Sharia, Arabic Language and others, highlighting the support provided by our wise leadership led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, his heir apparent and the deputy crown prince to the education in the Kingdom and their significant concern to offer scholarships opportunities for Muslim students to receive education in the Saudi universities led by Umm Al-Qura university. He also lauded the significant role undertaken by the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers besides the Colleges of Sharia, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, in addition to second to none contribution made by a constellation of scholars in Arabic language and Sharia majors to serve and spread the language of Quran.
For his part, the chairman of the Graduates of Saudi Universities Union in Albania Mr. Sadat Osman and his accompanying delegation lauded the great efforts exerted by the government and people of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their contribution to serve and defend Islamic issues. They also praised the role undertaken by the Saudi universities led by Umm Al-Qura to serve Muslim sons as general and the Albanian students in particular in the fields of Arabic language and sciences, sharia, Islamic studies and D'awa and Islamic Theology.
Further, they indicated that their visit to Saudi Arabia is aimed at opening up broad prospects to build close relations between Umm Al-Qura university and the Graduates of Saudi Universities Union in Albania in the fields of Arabic language programs via the courses organized by the university represented by the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers or continuing university education in the Arabic language and sharia fields through the scholarships opportunities allocated for male and female Muslim students in the republic of Albania to receive their education in this blessed university. They also lauded the outstanding educational outputs of Umm Al-Qura university which is reckoned the most important university at the global level to offer education in the fields of Arabic language and sharia sciences depending on its scholars and intellectuals. Further, they appreciated the blessed efforts exerted by the university under the directives and follow-up of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and all those in charge of this educational and scientific edifice located at the land of revelation.
At the conclusion of the visit, the UQU Vice President presented memorial shields and gifts to the head and members of the visiting Albanian delegation.
