President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Bin Bakri Assas reviewed works of Custodian of the two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research in Al-Madinah including; the concluded and future studies of the institute upon his visit to the Institute Headquarters on Sunday Jumada Al-Thani 13, 1438 H accompanied by the Institute's Dean Dr. Sami Barhmain, the head of the Institute branch in Al-Madinah Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadi, the Head of the Department of Information and Scientific Services at the Institute Dr. Abdullah bin Faisal Al-Sobaie, the Director of public relations and media department, Mr. Khalid bin Jamil Morsi and the Secretary of the UQU President, Mr. Hisham Al-Afghani.
On this occasion, Dr. Assas viewed a presentation about all studies made by the Institute provided by Dr.Abdullah Al-Sobaie.
For his part, the Institute's Dean explained that Madinah branch carried out a number of studies including an analytical study of the procedural stages facing the pilgrim at the airports (Prince Mohammad Bin Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Madinah), modeling and simulation of methods of organizing visits to the holy Rawdah at the Prophet's Mosque, besides all other works assigned to the institute by the Emirate of Madinah Province and branch of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques (GPH) in Al-Madinah.
Dr. Barhmain added that the Institute forms a research team for studies and collaborate with authorities in charge of serving visitors of the Prophet's Mosques (Peace Be Upon Him) through the scientific meetings and workshops to reach applicable solutions. He lauded the support and attention paid by the Emir of Madinah to the studies conducted by the institute to serve the visitors of the Prophet's Mosques (Peace Be Upon Him). He also lauded the support and close follow up of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to all departments of the Institute in Makkah and Madinah, thus enabling it to achieve distinction in all achieved studies.
Moreover, the head of the Institute Branch in Al-Madinah, Dr. Ahmed Qadi said the Institute looks forward to carrying out several studies in the coming seasons and to participate in implementing smart cities concept in Al-Madinah, pointing out that the Institute conducted several workshops in collaboration with the relevant authorities to create practical solutions.
On his part, the UQU President Dr. Assas lauded the support attached to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research by the wise leadership and the concern and confidence entrusted to it by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah who serves also as the Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khalid Al-Faisal to the studies undertaken by the institute in some parts related to Hajj and Umrah system. He also lauded the support and attention paid by the Emir of Al-Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz to all studies undertaken by the Institute in Al-Madinah
He went on to add that the experienced research team of the Institute conducts studies related to Pilgrims and visitors since their arrival to the Kingdom and until their departure to their countries safely to predict problems that might affect provided services, pointing out that the Institute carries out about 70 studies annually during hajj and Umrah seasons.
Wrapping up his speech, he lauded the role undertaken by the dean of the institute and his research team.
