The Institute of Consulting Research and Studies (ICRS) at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), represented by Dean Dr. Ali bin Mhamed Al-Shaari and Vice-Dean for Business Implementation and Development Dr. Raed Abdulrahman Shalwala, attended the proceedings of the 9th meeting of the deans of consulting research and studies institutes at Saudi universities.
The meeting was hosted by King Salman Institute for Consulting Studies and Services at Majmaah University, themed “Role of consulting research and studies institutes in achieving the kingdom’s 2030 Vision.”
It was attended by the deans, vice-deans and representatives of consulting research and studies institutes in universities.
The meeting featured four scientific sessions, the first of which discussed “the role of consulting research and studies institutes in achieving the kingdom’s 2030 Vision.”
The second session tackled the issue of “difficulties and challenges facing consulting research and studies institutes and how to face them.”
The third session reviewed “areas of cooperation between consulting research and studies institutes in Saudi universities.”
The fourth session discussed “the proposed projects to diversify the resources of the institutes and ways to develop them.”
At the end of their meeting, the participants underlined the importance of putting in place mechanisms for positive cooperation between consulting research and studies institutes in Saudi universities; supporting and activating their programs and projects in line with the kingdom’s 2030 Vision and encouraging scientific alliances between institutes in light of the competitive advantage of each institute, its expertise and capabilities.
They also underscored the significance of exchanging solutions and ideas to overcome challenges and difficulties facing consulting research and studies institutes to increase their chances of success.
The participants recommended continued periodical meetings of consulting research and studies institutes in the Saudi universities in the coming years.
They agreed that the 10th and 11th meetings would be hosted by Al Baha University and Qassim University consecutively.
The participants also extended thanking and gratitude to Minister of Education Ahmed Al-Eissa for sponsoring the meeting as well as to King Salman Institute for Consulting Studies and Services for the excellent preparation, organization and communication.
They also thanked all the participating consulting research and studies institutes for their interaction during the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies Dean Dr. Ali bin Mhamed Al-Shaari thanked, on behalf of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) President Dr. Bakri bin M’atooq Assas, the Majmaah University and King Salman Institute for Consulting Studies and Services for the excellent preparation, organization and communication.
He asserted that Umm Al-Qura University as represented by the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies is keen on the effective participation in such meetings, enriching them with dialogue and discussions and offering all it can in the service of the kingdom in light of the 2030 Vision.
He thanked University President Dr. Assas for his continued support for the institute and its activities and programs in the different fields.
