Umm Al-Qura University Celebrates the Graduation of 143 Trainees in the Health Security Program

Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, via its virtual platform, celebrated the graduation of the first class of trainees in the "Health Security" program. The celebration was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmad Babalghith, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, on behalf of the President of the University, and with the participation of the Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Tawfiq Al-Sharif, and the CEO of the Health Academy at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Dr. Sami Al-Sulami.

In his speech, Dr. Babalghith stressed Umm Al-Qura University's readiness to provide specialized qualification and training programs for the nation’s youth, and provide educational opportunities that enable them to engage in such programs that qualify them for the job market.

He also congratulated the graduates on their graduation day, wishing them success in serving their homeland and their community. In the same context, he appreciated the efforts of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and its officials in providing professional programs to qualify national personnel.

The Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education at the university talked about the "Health Security" program, which was implemented by the college in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, represented by the Health Academy. He noted that the first class of the "Health Security" program included 143 trainees, who will enter the job market after spending eight months of training in the halls of the university.

On his part, the CEO of the Health Academy, Dr. Sami Al-Sulami, praised the efforts of Umm Al-Qura University and its role in providing opportunities of academic education for the people of the nation, qualifying young personnel to meet the needs of the labor market.

He considered that everyone's celebration of the graduation of the first class of the "Health Security" program came as a result of the effective and constructive partnership between the university and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, represented by the Health Academy, noting that this class will be followed by other classes in the professional and health specialties needed by the labor market.

The ceremony also included a speech by Faisal Al-Ghamdi delivered on behalf of the graduates, in addition to a summary of what the college has provided for the training program.

It is worth mentioning that the national program is concerned with the training of health security officials in taking precautionary measures to reduce risks and protect visitors to health facilities, and also qualify them to work efficiently and effectively in guiding visitors and responding to their inquiries. Moreover, health security officials are provided with the skills of self-development, when needed, due to their important role in raising the level of health care services according to the highest standards required to improve the work of the facility.
