The program was launched by the commission, under the auspices of the UQU President, Prof. Moaddi Aal Madh-hab, and in the presence of the commission’s agent, Prof. Ahmad Al-Zaid, with the participation of the university's vice presidents and its administrative and financial leaders.

The workshop began with a speech by the UQU President in which he stressed the importance of combating corruption in all its forms in order to preserve public funds, stressing the importance of the role of citizens, with their various responsibilities, locations, and social groups, in confronting such a blight that harms the nation, its capabilities, and the interests of its citizens. He highlighted the keenness shown by Umm Al-Qura University to build and strengthen the partnership with the authority to achieve the desired national goals.

During the workshop moderated by the General Supervisor of Our Homeland Program, Mr. Badr Al-Shahrani, and presented by the legal advisor of the commission, Mr. Saad Al-Othman, a discussion was conducted on the topics concerned with the protection of public funds. This is in addition to a review of the practical cases of embezzlement and assault on public funds, thereby opening a discussion about them with the participants.

It is noteworthy that the "Our Homeland Is a Trust" program aims at achieving a set of awareness-raising goals to enhance integrity, transparency, and accountability, in accordance with the efforts made by the commission to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the objectives of the national strategy to protect integrity and combat corruption.
