The General Administration of Cybersecurity organized a workshop entitled, "Basics of Cybersecurity", which was presented within the Makkah Cultural Forum 1442 A.H. under the slogan, "How to Be a Role Model in the Digital World". The workshop was held in collaboration with the College of Computer and Information System within the initiative entitled, "Digital Homeland Protectors", and was organized in collaboration with the College of Community Service and Continuing Education.
His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Cybersecurity Administration for Technical Security, Dr. Hassan bin Farid Lahza, presented the workshop, which he inaugurated by praising and thanking Allah. Dr. Hassan then gave an explanation of the concept of cybersecurity and its importance in the public and private sector, pointing out the difference between information security and cybersecurity. Moreover, he tackled the risks encompassing cybersecurity and ways of preventing them. His Excellency also presented an explanation of the Saudi framework for cybersecurity cadres, "Suyouf", and the professional certificates in the field of cybersecurity.
On his part, His Excellency the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Cybersecurity, Dr. Sultan bin Hamid Al-Mutairi, praised the efforts exerted to achieve the success of the workshop. Moreover, he noted that there will be more workshops and courses that contribute in raising the level of cybersecurity awareness, Allah willing.
