The Director General of Health Affairs in Makkah Region, Dr. Wael Mutair, had a meeting with the Dean of the Community College at Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Essam Bazarah, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides, the extent the labor market needs professional diplomas in health specialties, and the participation of the Community College, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs in the region, in their implementation.
During the meeting, the Dean of the Community College, Dr. Essam Bazarah, expressed the readiness of the university, represented by the Community College, to implement health diploma programs in the fields of sterilization, optical technology, environmental inspection, pharmacy technology, and rehabilitation care. Moreover, there are other diplomas and programs under consideration that qualify the country's youth and meet the needs and requirements of the labor market in the health field, within the framework of joint cooperation and agreement between the two sides. The Directorate of Health Affairs shall be one of the advisory bodies of the college in this respect.
Dr. Essam Bazarah stressed the need of strengthening partnership between the university and the General Directorate of Health Affairs to formulate joint work mechanisms and the provision of programs for developing the health sector, which is one of the most vital sectors serving the country and its citizens.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Emad Shafi'i, the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Ramia Sindi, the Vice Dean for Development, Dr. Hibah Al-Masmoum, and the Technical Affairs Officer, Mr. Adnan Bintin.
