MOH Delegation Visits Wadi Makkah Company

Headed by the Director-General of Makkah Health Affairs Dr. Mustafa Baljon, Advisor to the Minister of Health Dr. Adel Tash, President of the National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Committee of the Saudi Heart Association, manager of “Safe Makkah” project Dr. Abdul-Majid Khan, a delegation from the Ministry of Health (MOH) visited Wadi Makkah Company on Tuesday, Jumada Al-Thani 8th, 1438 A.H. This visit is designed to discuss the application of a number Wadi Makkah’s emerging technologies in the Ministry of Health, and propose other technologies sought to be adopted by MOH, particularly the “Quick Response Project" to treat cardiac arrest outpatients in Makkah.

The delegation was received by Vice-President for Academic Development and Community Service, Vice-President for Business & Innovation Dr. Hani Ghazi, Wadi Makkah’s CEO Dr. Faisal Al-Alaf, Head of the Public Relations and Media Department in Wadi Makkah Dr. Majed Abdullah, and Founder of a startup in Wadi Makkah Dr. Abdullah Morad, which is specialized in medical care technologies, along with a good number of startup founders. 

The delegation members toured Wadi Makkah’s building, where they visited the electronic sensors factory and listened to a detailed elaboration the factory mechanisms and how electronic sensors are produced. Visitors also had a detailed presentation on all Wadi Makkah’s startups and their Hi-Tech products, such as Navibees for indoor navigation solutions, Averos for smart cities, Softcare for medical technologies, Tawseel for multi-dimensional distribution, Lucidya for digital data analysis, BioKubes for medical labs and Breez for smart control.

At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed its sincere appreciation of all the innovative Hi-Tech products provided by Wadi Makkah’s startups, as well as their ability to offer top quality and highly efficient solutions to the Ministry of Health. The delegation also stressed opening unlimited cooperation horizon with Wadi Makkah and its affiliated startups, offering as top-quality products as those of regional and international companies.

From his part, the Vice-President for Academic Development and Community Service, Vice-President for Business & Innovation Dr. Hani Ghazi extended his deep thanks to MOH delegation for their trust in the products offered by WM startups, stressing that Wadi Makkah welcome the Ministry of Health and deploys all its technological potentials to MOH to serve Makkah, its residents and visitors, in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, where one of its objectives is "Commit to develop and expand services offered to pilgrims and Umrah performers to streamline their performance of the rituals.”

Wadi Makkah CEO Dr. Faisal Al-Alaf noted that Wadi Makkah Startups have gained the trust of many public and private clients, stressing that Wadi Makkah welcomes unlimited cooperation with all sectors, both government and private. Then, he extended his sincere appreciation to UQU President Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas for his support to Wadi Makkah, due to its role to bring in, localize and develop technologies, as well as its contribution to the knowledge-based economy.
