Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations Provides Professional Development Programs for the Staff of the Municipality of the Holy Capital

Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institute for Consulting Research and Studies, entered into a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of the Holy City with the aim of achieving sustainable development and activating a prominent role in investing knowledge and providing a variety of professional development programs for the staff of the municipality. This is in order to qualify and develop human cadres in the administrative and technical fields. These programs are in addition to a number of training courses in computer skills and systems whose activities were launched on October 25 and will continue until November 22, 2020.

The UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and the UQU Vice President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Resini, emphasized the importance of these programs that would raise the efficiency of human cadres in all areas of development.

The Dean of the Institute for Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Shairi, stated that the Oasis worked to equip approximately four different professional programs concerned with providing technical, administrative and behavioral skills, in addition to computer skills, interspersed with courses distributed over a period of 15 days. The programs will end by presenting projects that include theoretical and practical activities and exercises, to verify the quality of the training outcomes.

It is worthy of note that Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations includes 12 units and 4 consulting centers that provide a range of advisory services, educational services, and social responsibility services to meet the needs of individuals, the public and private sectors, and non-profit entities. The aim of the services is to contribute to supporting and achieving the knowledge economy, in line with the National Vision 2030.

The Oasis is also concerned with professional development services, through designing and developing professional courses, programs and diplomas of various specializations, and presenting them in a high-quality and professional manner by relying on experts, consultants, and specialized trainers.
