The UQU President, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, at his office on Wednesday, Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H., met with the deans of the university colleges to check on the progress of the educational process.
The UQU President referred to the attention given by the state to higher education, and to the follow up of the Minister of Education and his care for the universities and their affiliates and outputs. The meeting discussed the university's future trends, promising opportunities, and comparative advantages. This is in addition to the importance of restructuring the educational system and the strategic plan under the new system of Saudi Universities, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The meeting underlined the importance of working with a teamwork spirit and professionalism, updating the development plans of the colleges' specializations, and monitoring the extent to which the curricula are compatible with the future trends of the labor market.
Aal Madh-hab stressed the keenness and attention of the university to provide the best educational services and continue achieving excellence in the colleges, which have become references in their specializations. He also highlighted the university's concern in following up study curricula and programs and continuously developing them, besides measuring the level of acceptance of the study specializations in order to ensure that the educational output meets the requirements of the labor market and the trends of the knowledge economy, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The UQU President referred to the importance of investing in national energies and strengthening their knowledge potentials in the research and academic programs. This is in addition to facilitating the educational journey for the students and providing them with the knowledge skills by giving them the best appropriate services to raise the level of their academic achievement and enable them to select the most appropriate postgraduate studies. He then praised the efforts of the deans in improving the educational progress, and their constant efforts to make Umm Al-Qura an outstanding cognitive beacon.
