Emir of Makkah Receives UQU President, Congratulates Burhamain

Today, Monday, 7 Jumada Al-Thani 1438 AH, HH Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, received Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), and Dr. Sami bin Yassin Borhamin, Dean of "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research". The meeting was held at the Makkah Emirate Office.

HH Prince Khaled congratulated Dr. Borhamin on his Appointment as Dean of "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research", wishing him success in developing the Hajj and Umrah services.

For his part, Dr. Assas, President of UQU, praised the support and great attention paid by the Saudi Leadership for the Institute, describing it as a data bank that monitors the different Hajj issues and provides radical solutions based on scientific studies and research predicting and analyzing the negatives that may face pilgrims. Dr. Assas pointed out that the Institute's divisions compiled several studies on different development projects related to the Hajj and Umrah system, including construction and engineering research, management and humanitarian studies and media research, in addition to information and scientific services studies and environmental and health and research. Dr. Assas added that the Institute has highly trained cadres in Hajj and Umrah service researches, noting that the Institute conducts more than 70 studies and programs annually.

Dr. Borhamin, Dean of the Institute, praised HH Prince Khaled's congratulations on his appointment as dean of the Institute, praying to the Almighty to help him perform his duties to the fullest, in parallel with the services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for pilgrims.
