A royal decree has been issued to appoint His Excellency Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab as President of Umm Al-Qura University.
On this occasion, the President of Umm Al-Qura University extended his thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, may Allah protect them, for this trust. His Excellency asked Allah, the Almighty, to provide him with help, success and guidance in the course of serving his country and its citizens through this scientific edifice and this prestigious university of "Umm Al-Qura".
Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab has assumed several positions during his career. He was a member of the Shura Council in its seventh session, Chairman of the council’s Administration and Human Resources Committee, Dean of the College of Business Administration at King Saud University, Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences at Majmaah, and a member of the Strategic Plan Team of the Ministry of Higher Education.
His Excellency the President of the University has also presented 20 scientific studies during his academic career which focused on higher education and human and administrative development. He also won the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Award in Washington DC for his excellence in the master's and PhD stages, in addition to being awarded the degree of distinction by the referees for his research submitted for promotion to the rank of professor.
Regarding his academic career, he obtained a bachelor's degree in administrative sciences from King Saud University, a master's degree in public administration from the American University, and a PhD in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Moreover, Prof. Aal Madh-hab participated in a number of scientific conferences, seminars and workshops inside and outside the Saudi Kingdom, chaired a number of sessions and seminars in the administrative fields, and supervised the first Conference of Business Administration Colleges in the Universities of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held in 1435 A.H.
