Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, launched the "Kholasa" initiative, as part of its motivational initiatives for the students of Saudi universities. The aim of the initiative is to encourage students to engage in interactive collaborative education, produce interactive educational material in their specialties, and share them among themselves. This is to raise the level of self-learning and the educational process among university students in general.
The initiative is considered a hub to embracing students' talents. It is harnessed to serve the educational process, and award the e-learning award "Kholasa" to the distinguished students by registering their information and receiving their contributions through the initiative website.
The Dean of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, stressed that the initiative strengthens the pioneering role of Umm Al-Qura University in the fields of distance education, motivating students' talents and encouraging them to use educational technologies, which are considered among the most important pillars of the "Kholasa" initiative. Finally, he extended his thanks to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, for his constant support and encouragement for the male and female students through Umm Al-Qura University's adoption of the E-Learning Award.
