The Deanship of Information Technology at Umm Al-Qura University today launched the online reservation service for the examination halls, enabling the academic staff members to reserve the appropriate classrooms for conducting the exams for the male and female students that require physical attendance, according to their numbers while meeting the necessary health requirements.
The service enables the academic staff member to choose the courses and divisions that require on-campus attendance. Moreover, the service specifies the available date, time, and hall, based on the availability and suitability for the number of students. The aim of this is to ensure that the necessary health requirements are met and to maintain physical distancing between students, given the current circumstances.
The service also shows, through the academic portal, the dates and details of the exams for the students, provides periodic statistical reports on the number of students who are supposed to be present in the headquarters, and the respective hall prepared for this activity. This is achieved through coordination with the authorities concerned with crowd management inside the university's headquarters. It also verifies that the maximum accommodation capacity of each hall is not exceeded.
