His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, issued an administrative decision to establish the Center for Correctional Alternatives, to be associated with the Deanship of Scientific Research.
This decision comes in implementation of the decision of the Council of Makkah Region. It emerges from the university's vision of the need to work on developing correctional alternatives to penalties based on case studies and best practices, and according to modern technologies and the application of the highest quality standards, in coordination with government agencies and the participation of the non-profit sector.
His Excellency also issued an administrative decision assigning Dr. Majdi bin Saeed bin Muhammad Al-Maraashi as the General Supervisor of the Center for Correctional Alternatives.
