His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, in his office on Wednesday, 28 Muharram, 1442 A.H., reviewed the second phase of the project of Measuring Pilgrims and Visitors' Satisfaction carried out by the universities of the western region under the direct guidance and supervision of the Emirate of Makkah Province. Present in the meeting were the Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, Dr. Bassim Qadi, and the Executive Director of the project, Dr. Dhiyab Al-Maliki.

In this regard, Dr. Al-Maliki offered a detailed explanation about the second phase of the project and the scientific methodology used for measuring the level of pilgrims’ satisfaction in the exceptional Hajj of the previous year 1441 A.H. This will take place, he added, by using a new procedure in preparing the measures and the methodology and collecting necessary data compatible with the conditions witnessed in the season as a result of the Corona pandemic and the health agreements and procedures taken by the parties involved in the work of Hajj. He then confirmed the variations in the project standards in the report of the first phase, considering that they fall within the scope of the normal conditions for Hajj and Umrah.

His Excellency the UQU President honored the representatives of the universities involved in the project, including: Prof. Essam Al-Filali from King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Hatim Bukhari from Jeddah University, and Taif University, which was represented by Dr. Rana Zaini. He valued the efforts they exerted and their fruitful cooperation to improve the services provided for the pilgrims, in addition to their contribution in coming up with indicators to measure the satisfaction of the pilgrims, upgrade the Hajj and Umrah sector, and develop the systems in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
