Dr. Amr bin Taha, the Dean of Students Affairs, met Mr. Mohamed bin Mahdi Al-Harithy, the Director of Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. Held at the Deanship of Students Affairs Office in Abidiyah, the meeting was held with the aim of discussing the participation of UQU Roving Team’s students in the work of Bader Center for Voluntary Work, in Ramadan 1437H. The center is supervised by the General Department for Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
For his part, Mr. Al-Harithy stated that the center aims to offer voluntary work for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors of the Holy Sites, during seasons of Ramadan and Hajj of 1437H. A total of 15,000 pre-university and university students participate in offering services to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, such as helping the elderly move from and to their residence places or the Holy Mosque, and supporting them with their vehicles.
Furthermore, Mr. Al-Harithy said this center is a pride for the sons of the Holy City of Makkah. Therefore, students, especially university students, proudly and enthusiastically participate in its work, and are always eager to appear in the most proper image.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Talal bin Ali Mathni, the Vice Dean, Dr. Hemdan bin Muhammad Al-Harbi, the Vice Dean for Students Services, and Dr. Saeed bin Hashem Halawani, the Vice Dean for Development, Community Service and Community Partnership, attended the reception.
