UQU will launch the Remote Sport Quality and Excellence Diploma on 17th of Safar, 1442 A.H. The diploma will last for two months, and will consist of 42 training hours in the fields of quality, physical education, and planning and investment in sport media.
The executive diploma, which will be implemented by the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies in collaboration with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, is designed to apply quality and institutional excellence standards in the field of sport management, to upgrade the performance level of the sport organizations by developing their strategic plans, to specify the strategic objectives these organizations aim to achieve, and to qualify the institutions to obtain the institutional accreditation and excellence certificate. The program will also introduce standards of sport media quality and principles of international sport law, so as to boost the role of public relations and achieve its communication and marketing objectives in this field.
The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, said that the Sport Quality and Excellence Diploma is one of the executive programs provided by the institute to contribute to developing skills and gaining professional knowledge in line with the requirements of the labor market, thereby providing job opportunities for the specialists in this field. That is to be added to spreading the culture of quality standards and applying it in the different sectors, in line with the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince (may Allah safeguard them) aiming at making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a role model in all fields.
The diploma program will cover various fields, including: the application of quality in sport management in line with the ISO-9001 specifications, and the transfer of sport knowledge and skills efficiently and effectively in accordance with ISO-30401. This is in addition to introducing the strategies of sport media; institutional planning; modern trends in marketing and public relations; economy, investment and privatization in the field of sport; and sport law and the governance of sport institutions. After completing the theoretical and applied requirements, the trainee will be awarded an accredited certificate from the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at Umm Al-Qura University.
