The UQU celebrated the graduation of 175 students from the Higher Diploma in Al-Hisbah representing the 5th and 6th classes in the program which was carried out by the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil for the members of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. The virtual ceremony was organized by the institute on Monday evening, 19 Muharram 1442 A.H., under the sponsorship of the Chairman of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Al-Sand, and the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
In his speech on this occasion, the UQU President stressed the importance of the educational programs and courses carried out by the university, particularly the program of 'Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil' within the partnership between the university, represented by the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, and the General Presidency. He then praised the efforts of the two parties in this regard.
On his part, the Chairman of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Al-Sand, urged the graduates to abide by the guidelines of the Shari`ah and to adhere to the instructions, rules and regulations related to their work and missions assigned to them. He dubbed them as partners in the strategic work of the institute and representatives of this bureau, which is considered one of the greatest virtues of the state. He then praised the support provided by the wise leadership to the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, and the follow up of its development initiatives.
He added that the diploma has achieved the vision of the presidency with regard to professional and scientific development, as those who have joined the presidency have scientific capabilities and knowledge of the related rules and regulations. They are also fully aware of the requirements of the work and have distinguished professionalism to carry out the noble mission of the presidency, which is "the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice" according to the Shari`ah. He underscored that the statistics, surveys and practical reports related to the program in the first classes that graduated have proven their excellence in their work, prompting the presidency to continue its march in qualifying its new employees by letting them join the program for a duration of a complete academic year.
After that, the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Resini, described the ceremony as highlighting the outstanding partnership of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice with the university, which yielded the graduation of six classes over the past years, under the direct support and follow-up of the Chairman of the General Presidency, Prof. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Sanad, and His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
