UQU Launches the Quality and Distinction Executive Diploma in Media and Institutional Communication

Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies and in cooperation with the Deanship of E-Learning, launched the Quality and Excellence Executive Diploma in Media and Institutional Communication and Its Crisis Management Role, which will be held remotely. The institute extended the period of registration to 8 Shawwal, with the program starting on 16 Shawwal. The study will last for two months and include 38 hours, 5 of which will be allocated to the applied graduation project. The program will be held with the participation of a group of lecturers specialized in media, from inside and outside the university.

Dr. Khalid Al-Akua, the Head of the Saudi Society for Quality in the Makkah region and one of the lecturers in the program, mentioned that this diploma is considered to be the first executive diploma of its type in the Middle East, for which a credited certificate will be offered by Umm Al-Qura University. He added that the program aims to aims to prepare professional practitioners in media tools and institutional communication administration, according to quality and distinction standards. The program also aims to enable the practitioners to master the best global practices in crisis management. The themes of the diploma target managers and graduates of the departments of media, institutional communication, and public relations, as well as media practitioners and those interested in the field of media.

The diploma will be held in conformity with the directives and initiatives seeking to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 in relation to applying the standards of quality and distinction in communication and media. The program will be implemented according to the standards of Isas Media 2016. In addition, the diploma aims to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 in relation to applying social responsibility standards in the communication and media sector, according to the standards of ISO26000, and also seeks to apply standards to raise the efficiency of the media personnel.

The program will include the strategies of institutional communication and quality in the practices and protocols of public relations, and the study of occupational safety and security, crisis management and social responsibility in media. In addition, the application of governance and strategies of dealing with variables, as well as the presentation of the best practices of Saudi media figures will be covered.
