Umm Al-Qura University Medical Center on Sunday (Jumada Al-Oula 15, 1438H) launched the second polio vaccine campaign in cooperation with the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Region. The second mass campaign runs for five days.

According to Head of the Center Dr. Yasser bin Hassan Bahakim, the mass campaign reflects instant cooperation with the Makkah Region Health Affairs.

The center plays a protective role through education messages given to students and employees by means of campaigns and events which are organized to raise awareness about common diseases, he said.

Dr. Bahakim hailed support given by President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Bin Bakri Assas and Vice-President Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shoushou who have keenly followed up events and activities organized by the center to improve health, medical and protective services.
