His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, issued an administrative decision to establish the Center of Innovation and Development in Artificial Intelligence, which will be connected directly to His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The decision is based on the university's vision of the necessity of achieving excellence in the applications and uses of artificial intelligence, at the international level. This should be implemented in a manner that serves the society and its different institutions.

His Excellency the UQU President also issued the following decisions:

1. Appointing Dr. Eissa bin Ayed bin Awad Al-Anzi as General Supervisor of the Center of Innovation and Development in Artificial Intelligence.
2. Appointing Dr. Wisam bin Hasan bin Saleh Al-Sabban as Deputy General Supervisor of the Center of Innovation and Development in Artificial Intelligence for Innovation, in addition to his current work.
3. Appointing Dr. Sarah bint Ahmad bin Atiyatullah Al-Sharif as Deputy General Supervisor of the Center of Innovation and Development in Artificial Intelligence for Development, in addition to her current work.

His Excellency asks Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) to help them and grant them success in performing their duty towards knowledge and its seekers, and in raising the standard of this university to enable it to reach its desired goals.
